National Study: Advancing Women+ Owned Businesses In Canada's Nuclear Sector
In October 2025, Amelia Alliance in collaboration with Women in Nuclear (WiN) Canada, published the results of a first of a kind national study about women and gender diverse (women+) owned buinesses in Canada's nuclear sector. The evidence from this study confirms that women+ owned businesses bring capability, capacity, and transferable expertise from adjacent industries. One in three study respondents already supply the nuclear sector today, and many others are positioned to do so. The barrier is not capability but access. The study proposed a series of recommendations for industry and key stakeholders to advance. Thank you to the many women+ business owners, and industry leaders who contributed their insights and perspectives.
